Opis
Description
A monocrystalline silicon wafer is a key component in the manufacturing of solar cells. Monocrystalline silicon is a highly pure form of silicon that is created by growing a single crystal from a seed crystal in a high-temperature environment.
To produce monocrystalline silicon wafers for solar cells, the silicon is first purified through a process known as the Czochralski process. In this process, silicon is melted in a crucible and a seed crystal is dipped into the molten silicon. The seed crystal is then slowly pulled out of the melt, and as it does so, the silicon solidifies around it to form a single crystal.
